No matter if you volunteer, donate money or simply shop local, Discover Downtown La Grange (DDL) appreciates your efforts. When you donate money, that donation goes toward revitalization projects along Main Street and beyond. We use those donations for events, supplies and advertising as well as for programs that go toward preserving La Grange’s historic district.
We have made the donation process easy. If you click on the PayPal button in the left column, you can request that your money goes toward a given project or event. Check the DDL Calendar to learn more about upcoming events, or contact DDL to learn more about how your dollars can help improve our Main Street and Shop Local programs. A donation of even $5.00 can go a long way toward revitalization efforts.
There are many ways to serve on DDL committees as well, and volunteerism is welcome!
- Promotions: If you like working with public relations, graphics and event planning, then this is the committee for you. Take a look at the DDL calendar to realize all the events that you could help maintain and/or improve with group efforts.
- Organization: Is fund raising your forte? Or, do you have a great volunteer recruitment idea? This committee works on fund raising and volunteerism, but it also works closely with other community organizations to help facilitate communications among groups for a seamless effort in building La Grange’s services and businesses.
- Design: La Grange is an image…and the better the image, the better the perception that residents and visitors have of your town. This committee works on grants and fund raising to help improve existing facades and to educate the public, property owners and merchants about good design. This committee may appeal to you if you are involved in landscaping, public works, sustainability, or urban and rural planning.
- Economic Restructuring: If you are a data person who loves to gather information and transform that data into obvious results, you might like the teamwork you’ll experience with this committee. You’ll be involved with Main Street documentation, surveys, market analysis and providing solutions for data-based problems.

Membership provides another opportunity to revitalize downtown La Grange. When you visit the membership page, you’ll learn more about what we do, what you can do to help, and the varying membership levels. You don’t have to own a business to be a member — a family can become a member and receive email updates, historic preservation assistance and two free tickets to the Spirits of La Grange Ghost Tour!
