Discover Downtown La Grange

It starts as a low rumble.  Then, the bells.  Next, vibrations.  Most first-time visitors to historic downtown LaGrange are astounded as a freight train rolls through town.  Yes, a train runs through it – right down the center of Main Street.  Up to 30 trains a day come through this county seat of Oldham County, Kentucky, much to the delight of locals and tourists a like.

Executive Director, Nonprofit

 Discover Downtown La Grange Main Street program is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director. The director will be responsible for coordinating revitalization activities utilizing the Main Street Program Four-Point Approach. This is a part-time position and the applicant will be expected to work 20 hrs. per week. The applicant should have experience or education in one or more of the following areas: historic preservation, planning, economic development, retailing, marketing, design, volunteer management, nonprofit management, or small business development. The applicant must be entrepreneurial, energetic, well organized, and able to work well with others as well as independently. Computer, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
