Spirits of La Grange

“Due to the potential intensity of spirit activity, all 100% genuine, we ask that you leave children under 12 at home! We guides sometimes get pretty spooked ourselves!”

This project, operating under the auspices of Discover Downtown La Grange, has become a popular tour for locals and visitors. Combining a historical aspect to introductions to our “spirits,” you can learn all about our “uptown” area within 1.5 hours.

The tours help raise money for Discover Downtown La Grange, and helps in its efforts to continually preserve historic buildings and revitalize Main Street. Your tour admission goes directly to these efforts. Tickets are only $15 per person for the tour.  We also offer a special group rate for groups of 10 or more, and you can book special tours at any time of the year.

Beginning in 2011, ghost tours are available on a regular basis on the fourth Saturday of each month, beginning at 7pm and meeting at the Oldham County Historical Society, 106 North Second Avenue.

If you reside near La Grange and would like to become a tour guide (and wear period costume!), contact Discover Downtown La Grange. We also encourage individuals to help our guides, which is a great way to train for the guide position.

The Spirits of La Grange also holds “stake outs” at various local locations to learn more about paranormal activities. And, La Grange also hosts paranormal studies from around the country.
