Most roads are open for parking except during large events such as Light Up La Grange, Ironman, the Railroad Festival or Oldham County Day, when Main Street is closed at least between Hwy. 53 and Second Avenue, and Second Avenue often is closed as well. Road closings can be posted here, but also are posted in the Oldham Era and on our Facebook Page in the Events section.

A new ordinance requires event planners to get permission from the city and chief of La Grange Police to close any roads. This ordinance puts the onus for road closings on the city, not on the event planner. Thanks, City of La Grange!
